Description

U.S. Army M10 GMC, 70th anniversary Normandy invasion 1944 – Academy 13288

The M10 was a WWII American tank destroyer. The TD utilized an open-top rotating turret and was developed in 1942. Following several modifications, the tank was ready for manufacture in June 1943. It fielded a 76.2mm (three-inch) gun and was built upon an M4A2 Sherman chassis. Being the most significant US tank destroyer of the Second World War, the M10 served right up to the end of hostilities, despite being outclassed by later German heavy tanks and tank destroyers. This kit with over 475 plastic parts faithfully recreates the M10 GMC optionally in three versions, early, mid, or late with eight finishing options. When fully assembled, this 1/35 scale model measures 19.56cm long and 8.9 cm wide.
